You have be conscious of the extraordinary rise in popularity of the mobile phone as they say in the United Kingdom or cell phone in the United States. Twenty years ago, having a mobile phone meant carrying a very expensive device the size of a house brick around with you and very few people had one. Ten years ago, they were still quite costly yet a great deal of people had one but now they are fairly cheap and even young children carry them about.

In fact, cell phones have become so ubiquitous in lots of countries, that landline telephone businesses have begun removing public telephones because no one uses them any more and they are too costly to maintain because of to repeated vandalism.

It is very rare to be sitting in a public place like a train or a pub and not have someone near you talking into a mobile phone. In fact, many people become fairly angry about individuals with mobile phones not becoming mobile when their phone rings.

Why do they not get up and go away to a quiet corner to take the call? No, most people just sit there talking into their phone annoying everyone near them.

This then is my first cell phone tip: if your cell phone rings in a public location, stand up and move away to answer the call. Everybody near you will be very grateful. We do not want to hear your private conversations and we do not like to feel that we have to keep our voices down because you are on the telephone.

After learning this piece of cell phone etiquette, here are some tips for getting the most out of your cell phone.

This first thing to do after you acquire your mobile phone is to read the instruction booklet. If you always purchase the same marque, say, Nokia, you will be aware of the way that the phone works without reading the manual, yet if they have added new functions you may miss them.

Manufacturers are constantly striving to remain one step ahead of their competition and they do this by adding functions rather than reducing the price. By actually reading the instruction booklet, you will be aware of these new features.

Visit the manufacturer’s website. There might be mistakes or omissions in the handbook or they may have upgraded the phone very recently. There will also be a help email address there for if you get stuck and an emergency phone number. The phone line will be either jammed or expensive, so send your question by email instead.

Lots of cell phones allow you to assign different ring tones to different individuals. This is handy if used in the correct manner. For example, you could set one ring tone for your immediate family and the baby sitter, so that you know to pull over and take the call without even having to look at the screen.

Likewise, you could assign your boss a personal ring tone so that you can make a decision not to answer it if you are enjoying yourself.

Owen Jones, the writer of this article, writes on a number of topics, but is now concerned with looking for the best cell phone family plans. If you want to know more, please visit our web site at Family Plans For Cell Phones.

Isn’t it funny how something so new and unique can become so troublesome! Most of us were blown away when e-mail first came to fruition. We had an elegant, simple and efficient way to stay in touch, conduct business, and work remotely. It was the answer to so many troublesome business problems. It was also testament that too much of anything is not a good thing.

All of the things that made e-mail so wonderful now seem to have conspired against it to a point were a once wonderful cure is now looked upon as a curse. Don’t get me wrong – e-mail is still a fundamental underpinning of good business practices. The problems have arisen over time with the misuse of this tool. SPAM is now almost an epidemic problem for anyone wishing to augment their marketing programs. What went wrong?

Not everyone out there is into businesses that many of us would consider reputable. People are using e-mail blasts to sell sex, drugs and other items of nefarious roots. From my own experience I need both hands to count how many e-mails I get daily for Viagra or some derivative of it. Recently I have somehow been engaged by dating services. I mean, if they are coming after me I can only assume that normal membership is dropping and they are going to lower tiers than they might have previously considered. Seriously – a little joking is fun and I think we can all relate to these and other e-mail experiences. But there is a serious side to all of this that needs to be considered. Major e-mail managers are developing ever more stringent criteria for what constitutes SPAM so they can be proactive and try to contain the negative impact it has on their customers. The consequence of this is that many legitimate e-mails get caught up in the battle to block and do not get to their intended destination. What are legitimate businesses to do?

Double Opt-ins are becoming more and more common to ensure that as an e-mail user you can get your message to it’s desired end point but there is an inherent danger when a company goes to update their business list to a double opt-in format. In their desire to obtain this permission they risk losing a significant number of their business base since people are tired of the abuse. Please, don’t send me anything. I know who you are and when I need you I will call! If the point of marketing is to stay top of mind with all of your prospects and customers, not being able to send out e-mails is going to jeopardize that objective.

The other option of course is to vary up your approach to doing business. Fortunately there are many different media types available that will allow you to accomplish this. And one of the most effective is Voice Broadcasting. Let’s look at the reality of it. As a tool it is already sitting on your desk. In fact most people have surrendered to the phone as a sort of appendage and carry one with them all the time. But let’s consider some of the economic realities all marketers face today. We all know it costs more to attract a new prospect than to retain a customer. Another reality is that most people like to do business with someone they have a relationship with. It’s unlikely that anyone would consider a string of e-mails, no matter how well crafted they might be, a relationship. The best relationships are the ones we can visualize a face or voice around. We need some element of humanity that allows us to build a picture of who we are dealing with. How many times have you been on the phone speaking with someone and fairly quickly built a mental image of what they look like. Whether your image is right or wrong, at least you have one and when you hear that voice that picture comes to mind. This is just one reason why Voice Broadcasting is considered the best relationship building tool next to a face-to-face meeting.

One of the best things you can do to maintain and nurture customer relationships is for them to hear your voice. However, there is no way I can talk to everyone I need to with the frequency needed to maintain the relationship. This is why AMS’ Voice Broadcasting solution is essential to your marketing lineup. With Voice Broadcasting, you can record a personal message in your own voice and get it out to hundreds; even thousands of people. All you have done is recorded it once. The rest is managed by AMS. So, with AMS’ Voice Broadcasting or any of our other broadcasting technologies, there’s no reason to neglect existing clients and build bridges with new prospects. Voice Broadcasting is also cost effective. You can deliver a personal message to 200 of your clients for less than the cost of a bottle of wine. And because it is automated, you will have time to enjoy that bottle of wine too! Nothing is better than a demonstration to prove a point so let me share with you everything involved with launching an AMS’ Voice Broadcast.

How about 2 Step simple? Would that get it done for you? Then here you go:

Record your message – you can call AMS’ automated launch line at 1-800-760-0028, enter your account number and follow the system to record your message. Make your script friendly and natural. Remember, people love to know that they’re being thought of.

Email AMS a list of your client names and phone numbers that you want to reach. You can email at broadcasts@automs.com.

Along with your list, e-mail us the date and time you want your message going out.

Voice Broadcasting is not a sales or prospecting tool. It is a client retention and relationship building tool. It is not a lead generation device. Here are the rules. Once someone has called you and requested information, you have 90 days from that date to legally call them, even if they are on the “Do Not Call List”. Once someone has done business with you, you have 18 months after that date during which you can follow up with them.

Voice Broadcasting performs a very specific and key task; it builds the relationship with your prospects and existing clients. When it is used properly, it should serve as the centerpiece of your “Stay-In-Touch” campaign. Every month of the year has something to celebrate or acknowledge. Use Voice Broadcasting to call your list and wish them Happy Holidays; Happy Mother’s Day; Father’s Day or Thanksgiving. Remember, the focus is building and maintaining relationships. You’re calling attention to these important days and letting them know that you’ve taken the time to think of them adds a sense of intimacy and caring to that relationship.

Now if you really want to make your Voice Broadcasting powerful just combine it with AMS’ Lead Management System or LMS. LMS provides a powerful, systematic database capability managing all of your marketing technology across multiple media including Voice Broadcasting. You see, AMS’ Voice Broadcasting has been designed to work at an integrated level with AMS’ Lead Management System. As leads are captured you can predetermine how you want to manage them and design a marketing campaign that will build the relationship allowing conversion. And, as I have already commented, Voice Broadcasting is one sure fire way of bringing a voice and face to the relationship.

We’ve talked about some of the problems with the more popular ways of communicating with our prospects and customers. We’ve highlighted why relationships are so important to the buying and retention process. We’ve demonstrated why intimacy can be easy to achieve with Voice Broadcasting and not just how it augments the other technologies in your Marketing Portfolio, but that there is no other solution to delivering the benefits Voice Broadcasting brings with it. I’ve shown you that it can all be done in just 2 easy steps. In fact, if you have it as part of a prepared campaign, there are no steps. It just happens, like clockwork, because the automated robot we call Lead Management System does it all for you. You’ve read the article. You understand the benefits. All you need to do is to take action!

You’ve read the article. You understand the benefits. Check out this video to see how Voice Broadcasting Works

Arranging its first IPO, Skype has got into trouble. In the paper prepared by Skype for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission the manufacturer wrote down what it is mostly afraid of. The main threat to Skype is software platforms such as Apple.

It is stated that “for instance, Apple can unilaterally take away our software from its Apple Store, thus limiting Skype’s options in Apple iPads, iPhones and iTouches. So, they can always make their own programs such as Apple Face Time more competitive”. (In this article we provide our own free interpretation of what has happened).

And other online software stores are not exceptions here. Even those online software stores dealing with Android-based devices could act like Apple. The Skype committee claims that “holders of online software stores have ultimate control over services and products based on their software. If they believe that Skype is very competitive or prevents them from selling their own similar product, they will take away Skype from their store or significantly limit its options”.

The second threat is mobile phone operators. Skype’s options can be limited within their networks anytime. The company goes on complaining that Skype’s business strategy, however, “depends on the possibility to go on promoting its usage with mobile devices. In Europe such actions have already affected our business”.

And finally Skype is afraid of its own weakness. It was initially manufactured for individual users while business clients are intended to be company’s biggest source of money. “We might become unable to make services capable to satisfy the business class’ demand because its purposes are different from those of individuals who we always work with. We have already done our best to increase the options for our business class services, but this might not be enough. And it still remains unclear if we will manage to return the expenses spent on designing the services”.

And this, it turn, will make us unable to compete with companies dealing with the business class services because we won’t be able to destroy the “loyalty of business clients to software contributors” and “conservative views of IT-specialists who are not able to opt for less impressive Skype services”.

You can find another latest article about Skype and our comprehensive guide how to buy a virtual number in Brazil.

So, Asterisk is a software equipment of a PBX software implementation which has the complete range of what has been produced for mighty telephone systems nowadays. This statement can be proved by enumerating some Asterisk’s available characteristics list.

Asterisk is the most safe PBX system because it works with not one but a number of various providers with flexible call routing. So, in case something happens to one or more telephone operators, it won’t be even noticed by PBX users.

For the same reason Asterisk is the most profitable phone exchange system. It’s so because every single route is supplied with a special tariff plan. Calls within city boundaries are unlimited, for example, and are supplied by the city line. Long-distance and abroad calls are supplied with UcallWeconn or Betamax. So, every single call is made with the most cost effective tariff plan letting one save up to 80%.

And in the end, Asterisk is the cheapest in what installation and support is concerned. For example Nortel – a telephone exchange system with options similar to those of Asterisk – Cisco and Avaya might cost up to $20.000-30.000. Also, Asterisk is free to install and support. The program fits next to any computer working with Linux or other similar operating systems. One should not look for accessories in case there’s something wrong with the telephone private branch exchange system.

The cost of support is also great. Cisco support specialists work for incomparably higher cost just because it’s Cisco! An Asterisk support specialist knows that he has a great deal of competitors and that’s why he does his work for a moderate price (otherwise, this work will be done by someone else).

One might state that Asterisk has no qualified specialists, compared to Cisco and AVAYA, and in case the telephone system fails, a client will have to figure them out on his/her own. I would suggest you, however, to remember that the main sponsor of Asterisk DIGIUM both supports Asterisk itself and supports Asterisk-based projects, customizes it to specific clients’ requirements, makes equipment and products which are great to work with Asterisk, are not at all worse and more bounce to the ounce than similar systems’ equipment.

You can read my last articles: Mobile network operators vs. Skype: the fight has begun and Big business lobbyists decided to limit Skype in Russia.

The official Google, AT&T and Apple replies to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are out. Google Voice's removal from the Apple Store got the government officials interested in the case.

The official Google, AT&T and Apple replies to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are out. Google Voice’s removal from the Apple Store got the government officials interested in the case.

Google Voice is a telecommunications service allowing using a single forwarding telephone number to all the user’s phones, free SMS and cheap long-distant and abroad calls. VoIP lets Google Voice users pay not according to calling service rates but according to lower-priced data exchange rates.

At the end of July 2009 Apple removed all the Google Voice’s links and references from the Apple Store and from the internet catalogue of iPhone apps.

As Gawker notes, journalists and the FCC representatives have immediately got an idea that this decision might have been forced by AT&T. Customers who signed a two-year contract with AT&T get the cost an iPhone back from this telephony provider. In case clients cut down their spending, the income of the provider will be decreased.

AT&T rejects its involvement in the choice of applications for the Apple Store and with Google Voice’s disappearance as well. While at the same time the company accepted the fact that it had had consultations with Apple on the effect some applications might have on AT&T’s telecommunication capacity.

According to a special agreement, Apple is forbidden to make any VoIP-based programs for 2G and 3G nets provided by AT&T without permission of the latter. Earlier AT&T and Apple succeeded in reducing Skype’s options in iPhones. So, now one can access Skype over Wi-Fi exclusively. The same thing was required from mobile television services.

Skype’s options over VoIP in Google Android applications were similarly restricted by Google.

Apple accepted the fact that it was its own decision to ban Google Voice from Apple Store and noted that this program would not be missing forever.

The corporation claims that it will keep investigating this application that substitutes some basic options of the iPhone including calls, SMS and voice mail services. Also, Apple is worried about the fact that personal data are stored on Google’s servers. The company wants to be sure that this information will be used as it is supposed to be.

AT&T and Apple claim that iPhone users can have access to Google Voice via Safari web browser without installing the application.

Google has sent two responds to the FCC with public and confidential information subsequently. The company preferred to keep in secret the details of its talks with Apple and AT&T on Google Voice’s usage in iPhones.

Google’s chief executive, Eric Schmidt has recently left Apple’s Board of Directors due to the conflict. Both corporations have already started to compete in the sphere of web browsers, while smartphones working on Google Android might become iPhone’s competitors.

Furthermore, Google is working on the design of Chrome operational system which can be preferred by present Mac OS X’s users.

Businesses, organisations and clubs can all discover some benefit in writing and distributing a newsletter. Indeed, even internal departments within a large organisation have found that creating a newsletter is a great way of letting other people know what you do, how you do it, and why you do it!

One of the main reasons firms and organisations choose to write a newsletter is simply because it really is one of the least expensive marketing tools for drawing attention to the business or club. With current day technologies, a newsletter is also some thing that may be pulled together professionally relatively swiftly, and that may be distributed to buyers, members or potential clients and clients very speedily over the web or via email. Sending out a top quality newsletter on a standard basis enabled you to keep consumers, potential buyers and even the media conscious of what is happening within your organization. It can also support create familiarity between your self and your clients, which in turn can lead to repeat business from them.

So, if you have made the choice to begin completing and sending out a routine newsletter, how do you get started?

1. Decide on a format for your newsletter. Now is the time to choose, (a) Will you print out and post the newsletter, or email it out directly from the PC?, (b) How long will it be – can you create a standard template that may just be populated or updated every month? (c) Do you might have a company logo that will be incorporated? (d) What are the company / organisation style guidelines and how can they be incorporated into the newsletter? (e) Have you thought about the cost of producing the newsletter routinely, and set aside some time or dollars to ensure the completion?

2. What are you going to name your newsletter?

3. Who is going to be responsible for completing the newsletter and distributing it each month? Are they sufficiently skilled / trained to do this?

Next you need to think about the newsletter content. If you plan to send out a newsletter routinely, think about sections of the newsletter that could remain the same in every edition. For instance, a monthly update on the team, or a summary of customer feedback from the month before. Equally you could contemplate having an business news section each month, which gives some distinct yet relevant content to the readers, and is also a relatively straightforward section of the newsletter to update frequently.

Once you’ve your content in place, you next must take into consideration how you are going to display this content within the newsletter. As discussed above, having a standard template that you can just ‘drop’ stories into is handy as it keeps the structure of the newsletter relatively straight forward and it also enables the newsletter to be recognisable to readers every month. Think about the order in which you want stories to be presented, and play around with them on the page until the newsletter is aesthetically pleasing and has a logical flow. Whilst this may possibly take a bit of time at first, inside the lengthy run it’ll turn out to be a speedier element of the newsletter writing process.

Finally, you have to send out your newsletter to your contacts. Maintain a record of any email bounce backs or challenging copies that are ‘returned to sender’ to ensure that you do not continue to send the newsletter out to these individuals. It is critical to also maintain a log of any person who states that they no longer wish to obtain your newsletter, and to duly remove them from your distribution list.

Every business needs a continual flow of quality leads in order for business to grow and thrive. Without leads your business will die.

Every business needs a continual flow of quality leads in order for business to grow and thrive. Without leads your business will die. MLM lead generation will take some work, but with a bit of effort and patience you will be able to create a consistent flow of leads in your funnel.

Marketing Your Business With Articles

Perhaps the most fun (if you enjoy writing) is marketing using articles. This is a very low pressure way to let people know that you are open for business. If you enjoy writing, you can write the articles yourself or if writing is not your strength, use one of the article writing services. These usually do not cost too much and the articles are good quality.

After the article is written it needs to be submitted to many article directories. Vary the text of the article using an article spinner or you can simply re-write your article several times. At the bottom of each article you should put a short blurb about your product and where to find it. This should be done rather subtly without a lot of fanfare.

Website owners in search of quality content for their websites will come to the article directories. If your article is good quality, chances are one or more site owners will copy your article, resource box included, and add it to his or her site. This is exactly what you want. If you sent your article to 100 directories and 25 people visited those directories and took your article for their website, that is 125 new links to your product via your author’s resource box.

Email Campaigns

The simplest way to use email to generate leads is to use a signature line on every email you send out. It should have information similar to the author’s resource box you created for article marketing.

You can also do email campaigns that are more involved. Using an autoresponder, you can mail information directly to your list. Keep in mind that there are very strict anti-spam laws in place. If you spam, expect to be contacted about it and reprimanded.

Using Pay-Per-Click To Generate Leads

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements can be very successful or flop. Be very careful if you decide to use pay-per-click advertising. Monitor how much each click is costing you and turn off the campaign if you are running up a large balance and not having the clicks turn into sales. People have gotten into thousands of dollars worth of debt using PPC advertising without knowing what they are doing and without keeping close watch on the cost.

Finding Leads In Forums

Using forums for MLM lead generation is quite fun. Simply go to a forum that is related to your business and take a look around. See what the general culture of the forum is before jumping into any discussions. Once you have a feel for the forum, post a comment or start a new topic, but make sure your contributions are adding something to the discussion and are not blatant advertising. Your signature line on a forum is used the exact same way as it is used in an email. People will trust you and you will generate leads for your network marketing business online before you know it.

Stop struggling in MLM! We’ve put together a MLM Help Blog where you can learn the secrets to achieving MLM Success whether you are brand new to this industry, or a seasoned veteran!

Postal code and route mapping in Canada is a little different from that of the States. In fact, they are undergoing a change in the way they handle their street addresses. One example of this, is in the Burlington area. Most of this area is a part of Rural Route #2 Milton, and Rural Route #6 Milton, and then still Rural Route #3 Campbellville for their mail delivery.

But, while this is true, these areas all still have an address that is a Burlington street address. This fact has caused many to suffer having their mail incorrectly reflect them living in the wrong location. It has made delivery very difficult and confusing. It has also been the cause of loss of access to emergency services. So they decided to change the postal identifier to Burlington so the rural areas will get the same type of mail delivery as everyone else in Burlington.

They began the process of fixing this problem in 2005. Local counselors and Parliament members met with people from the Canada Post and work on a solution to this confusing problem. They had to create brand new postal codes for the rural areas within the Burlington system. Their proposal for their solution did not get approved until 2009.

The postal codes in Canada are managed by the CPC, or the Canada Post Corporation. They provide a link between the codes and their standard Canadian geographic locations to make it easier to use the data. The associations between the standard geographic areas are used for mapping, data retrieval, analysis, or profiling.

The search for solutions to the Canadian postal code problems, led to the development of geocoding. This is a process, that assigns geographic identifiers, or codes, to data records and map features. This allows for data to be linked directly to geography. The intent for postal codes, originally, was to help sort mail quickly and easily, and make delivery more efficient through address verficiation software.

Within the postal code, are indicators for where the delivery is to be made. This could be to a residential mail box, a super box, or a post office box. Also within the code, are the CPC processing facilities and the delivery installations. The first three code characters indicate the FSA, or forward sortation area. This represents a specific area that lies within a larger geographic region.

You can find maps available from the CPC that will show the organizational area that is represented by an FSA. Letter carrier walk maps, or LCWs, usually found on the internet concerning urban deliveries, provide FSA boundaries in relation to road networks. They can be much more helpful than FSA maps for determining FSA boundaries.

Postal code and route mapping in Canada has undergone a lot of change as they try to improve the efficiency of the whole process. It can really get confusing, and it is very hard to understand without some careful study. Postal codes by themselves are not good enough to get an exact location for the service area of the postal code. But the general area can be located by using the FSA.

The leading retailer for address management software solutions offers a variety of analytic and visualization tools, including address databases, postal code map, address verification, and geocoding software. These innovative location intelligence technologies will contribute extensively to your business optimization.
